VAGINAL LASER

Vaginal laser refers to the rejuvenation and tightening procedures applied to the vagina using fractional laser technology. Laser is a specific form of light energy. In fractional laser technology, the energy is divided into small units in fractions before being applied to the tissue. The procedure includes the following steps:

1. The patient is first placed on the examination table, and a sterile speculum is inserted into the vagina.

2. Next, a cream is applied to the inner and outer parts of the vagina for local anesthesia, and the patient waits for 10-15 minutes.

3. After local anesthesia, the patient is placed back on the examination table, and the sterile speculum is reinserted.

4. The inside of the vagina is cleaned with a dry gauze.

5. A special speculum of the laser device is inserted into the vagina, and the laser probe is advanced through this speculum.

6. The vagina is carefully scanned 360 degrees, following the clock face.

For this treatment, the patient does not need to fast or be dehydrated, current medications are not discontinued, and general anesthesia is not required. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, minimizing pain.

The vaginal tightening procedure with laser lasts approximately 10-15 minutes, with no expected pain, tampon, or stitches required afterward. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the procedure.

After treatment, it is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for 7 days. During this time, the vagina renews itself; dark-colored discharge and light bleeding are normal.

The effects of vaginal tightening with laser begin to be noticed 3 weeks after the first session, and a second session is recommended 3-4 weeks after the first for optimal results. Full effect is felt 2 months after the initial procedure, and changes in the vagina are noticed by both male and female partners.
